Boot to the safe mode

If your dell screen goes black, try booting the laptop through the safe mode and through the windows desktop motor your way.

Step 1 – Do the power draining function that starts with removing the power cord and the battery. After the battery is removed, drain in the remaining power by pressing the power button for about 10-20 seconds. After that, with the help of the power cord, turn on the power.

Step 2 – Try to check if there is any indication of LED over the power button.

Step 3 – If you see the LED on the power button or the caps lock key is static then connect an external monitor to your system to verify the operations of an external monitor.

  • Once the page appears on your screen, select the option reset NVRAM and press enter.
  • Finally, to start the recovery BIOS process, select the recover bios option and press enter.
